Due to the makeup of Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron units and the different tasks assigned to each troop, the personal weapons carried by each Trooper would vary. The standard weapons issued to each member varied from the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Colt 1911 Pistol and Thompson submachine gun or Grease gun.
The M1 Garand was the standard weapon of the scouts who manned the recon jeeps. The M1 Carbine was the standard weapon of E Troop and Headquarters. The Colt pistol and Thompson/Grease gun were the standard weapons of F Troop. Combat was a fluid situation and personal preferences would dictate what each trooper prefered. Other equipment used by troopers would vary depending on the time each unit entered the ETO. The 107th entered the ETO on January 1945. Other equipment such as boots, helmets, belts etc are listed below and are only a sampling of the total equipment used.
