TROOPER OF THE MONTH
Home
This month I am honoring my Father, Edward F. Capodarco who passed away on 3 July 1985.

Edward was born 3 July 1921 in Kenosha, WI. He had a brother Frank who served in the PTO during WW II and a sister Margaret.
Dad volunteered for the Army and enlisted in 1942. After training he was assigned to the 107th Cavalry. He spent his entire time with the 107th and in January 1945 was shipped to the ETO. He spent 5 months in Europe fighting across France, Germany and ending up in Austria at wars end. He was on a transport ship heading for the Pacific with the 107th when the war ended. He was honorably discharged in November 1945. He returned to Kenosha, married Dolores Stanke and raised 5 children. He worked for the Civil Service at Great Lakes Navel base and retired after 30 years of service. My father never really spoke of his time in the Army but again I never asked him. He is survived by his wife Dolores, four sons, one daughter and 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is missed by all of us and remembered through this site.
